I have one. I'm using stock rtr electronics in my scx10 2 rubicon. It's fine, its faster than the stock 35T. I went down one tooth on the pinion and I have another pinion on order, two teeth less than stock, I'm gonna try. The first motor lasted abt an hour and burned up after doing progressively steeper, slow speed climbs on a piece of plywood. Associated replaced it without giving me a hard time. They wanted all the details of what happened, they were genuinely concerned that I had an issue.
Last week, I was in a puddle and my truck quit moving, I grabbed it out and rinsed the motor with the same puddle water and it started working again. I didn't do anything else to it like clean it or rebuild it, I just kept using it without any other problems so far. I don't have any other motors to compare it too besides the stock axial 35T and a holmes hobbies trailmaster 35T which was just a boring replacement for the stock motor.
